Thank you for your support over the last year and a half. This election did not turn out the way I hoped it would. I'm disappointed by the result but I do not regret for a second having run. I worked harder than I have ever worked in my life and I loved every second of it. Mostly I loved the friendships and the camaraderie that developed. This campaign brought together a tremendous community of people. Truthfully, the hardest part for me is knowing how hard so may of you worked.
I can't thank you enough for all that you did and I hope that you are not deterred from further political activism. After all, we've got work to do. I may not be headed to Sacramento, but the situation is no less dire and I am no less motivated to help. Our state still puts more restrictions on the legislature than any state in the country and our schools are still dead last in the nation in terms of per pupil spending. I am still committed to changing these things and making California a place where we can all be proud and happy to raise our children.
